       Wendy Haddock was encouraged as young as four years old to develop her art skills.  When her older Sister was learning to spell apple, Wendy was learning to draw an apple......she wanted "homework" just like her older Sister.  Wendy received accolades and won various contests for her art as a youth.  She was like a sponge, constantly growing and discovering her own artistic voice.

       Wendy finds inspiration in everything, especially people and the beauty of the human form.   She is entranced with creating art that has emotions transcending through her subjects.  To feel the sadness of ones eyes or the warmth of a smile is what Wendy's art is known for. Pictures that seem to jump out from the canvas or paper.  Capturing these emotions in the raw beauty of each person is the art that Wendy loves to do....As well as portraits of her beautiful nieces.

     Studying at California State University Long Beach as an art and dance double major, Wendy gained invaluable art training and began to receive commissions for various work. As a modern day Renaissance woman living in the Bay Area, Wendy finds a delicate balance in order to indulge her two passions...art and dance.  

      As well as visual art, Wendy teaches jazz, ballet, modern, tap, and hip-hop at various prominent dance studios throughout the Bay Area. She works with youth on a regular basis, planting seeds that will grow and help her students in dance and life.  She feels fortunate to have the talent to touch so many youth.  Youth are our future and being a positive influence on them is of the utmost importance to Wendy.

     She is also the Artistic Director, Founder and Choreographer of Avatar Flux Dance Company . Avatar Flux is based out of Oakland, CA, and is an eclectic emergence of contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop and beyond.
