the art of dance





Hey there, I'm Wendy



I love great music & moving to it.
As a lifelong student of dance, I'm constantly exploring new ways to move in order to be the best educator I can.

Movement is essential for our well-being. After 32 years of teaching dance, I've learned that it's never too late to start moving. It's not just about getting fit, but also having ease of mobility in life. Dance is beneficial in a multitude of ways and I'm passionate about sharing those benefits. I want to get adults moving their body, increasing flexibility, strengthening their core, gaining better balance & stability all while burning calories & having a great time.

This is why I started Flux & Flow Dance & Movement Classes for Adults. Classes specifically designed to be fun, challenging & engaging. A place where you can enjoy the process of moving your body and take advantage of the benefits of taking weekly dance classes. I look forward to moving, getting fit & dancing with you.



Wendy's Dance Background



Learning years




38 years of dancing





  • Started taking dance classes at age eight
  • Was hungry to learn every dance style I possibly could including jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, Afro-Haitian, breakdancing, dancehall, house & salsa
  • Started competitive dance with my studio from age 10
  • Danced & Competed at Mount Carmel High School with the Dance Troupe
  • Trained & received scholarships for summer workshops & intensives
  • Attended Cal State Long Beach as a dance & art double major
  • Still in my learning years & will always learn new forms & styles of dance

32 years as a dance educator





  • Started assistant teaching at age 14 & teaching my own classes at 16
  • I teach all styles, ages & any experience levels
  • Choreographed over 900 dance pieces of all styles & levels
  • Directed & ran the dance program at the Rancho Penasquitos YMCA
  • Taught at studios, schools, universities & colleges throughout California, the Netherlands, Aruba & Italy
  • Taught for Dance Masters of America Convention
  • Co-Owned & Artistic Director of Expressions Dance & Arts in Pleasanton, California (2012 - 2020)
  • Received many choreography awards at regional & national dance competitions
